Care & Size · FANFOYU

Clear the noise. Return to intention.

Cleansing is a quiet pause: a way to care for the material, release the story of wear, and reconnect with the intention you chose.

Choose a method

Care before ritual

Begin with the stone itself.

Every crystal has a different hardness, porosity, finish, and setting. The safest cleansing practices are dry, gentle, and brief. When the exact stone or treatment is uncertain, choose soft cloth, sound, breath, or moonlight rather than water, salt, heat, or chemicals.

For FANFOYU, ritual is symbolic and personal. It supports mindful care; it is not a medical treatment or a promise of physical results.

Five considered paths

Choose the gentlest method that resonates.

There is no single required ritual. Consistency, attention, and respect for the material matter more than intensity.

01

Always begin here

Soft cloth

Use a clean, dry microfiber cloth to lift away oils and surface dust. Support the bracelet as you wipe and move gently around every bead and metal detail.

The safest first step for every finished FANFOYU piece.

02

Dry · gentle · universal

Sound

Place the jewelry on a soft cloth. Ring a bell, singing bowl, or chime nearby for 30–60 seconds. Keep the instrument separate so vibration never knocks the stones.

Suitable when the stone type or treatment is uncertain.

03

Indirect light only

Moonlight

Leave the piece indoors near a window overnight, resting in its pouch or on a soft cloth. Indirect moonlight offers a quiet ritual without exposing the jewelry to weather or moisture.

Bring it away from the window before strong morning sun.

04

Personal · immediate

Breath & intention

Hold the piece in clean hands. Take three slow breaths, then name the quality you wish to return to. This method asks nothing of the stone and can be practiced anywhere.

A symbolic ritual rather than a physical cleaning method.

05

Use with care

Incense smoke

Pass the piece briefly through a light stream of incense smoke, then wipe it with a dry cloth. Keep the ritual short and work in a well-ventilated room.

Skip this method for respiratory sensitivity or smoke-free spaces.

Protect what nature formed

Beautiful stones still need boundaries.

01

Water & salt

Avoid soaking unless you know every stone, coating, metal, and stringing material is water-safe. Never place jewelry in salt water or bury finished pieces in salt.

02

Sun & heat

Prolonged direct sunlight may fade or alter some stones and can weaken elastic. Keep pieces away from heaters, steam, and sudden temperature changes.

03

Smoke & chemicals

Keep smoke rituals brief and ventilated. Avoid perfume, alcohol, household cleaners, ultrasonic devices, and abrasive polishing compounds.

A one-minute return

Hold. Breathe. Remember.

Wipe the piece gently. Hold it in both hands and take three unhurried breaths. Recall the quality you want to carry—clarity, courage, patience, protection, or ease. Let that intention be simple, then return the piece to its pouch or to your wrist.

Cleansing, clarified

Common questions, considered answers.

How often should I cleanse my crystal jewelry?

There is no fixed schedule. Clean the piece physically after frequent wear, and repeat your personal ritual whenever it feels meaningful—after travel, a demanding day, or before setting a new intention.

Can I rinse every crystal under water?

No. Some stones are porous, soft, treated, dyed, or combined with metal and elastic that should stay dry. Unless every material is confirmed water-safe, choose a dry method.

Can I leave crystals in direct sunlight?

We do not recommend prolonged direct sunlight. It can fade certain stones, warm metal settings, and shorten the life of elastic. Indirect light is the gentler choice.

Does cleansing change a crystal’s medical or physical effects?

FANFOYU presents crystal cleansing as a personal care and mindfulness ritual. It is not medical treatment, and our jewelry is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition.
