Natural Stone Guide

No two alike. Neither are you.

Every natural stone was shaped by heaven and earth over countless ages. The marks it carries are part of that story. This guide explains what you may see in your piece, and what we treat as a quality issue.

What natural features look like

Inclusions: minerals or other material held inside the stone as it formed.

Growth lines and clouds: lines or misty areas that follow the way the stone formed.

Color variation: shifts in tone from bead to bead, even within one bracelet.

Small surface marks: natural pits or texture that do not affect everyday wear.

What counts as a quality issue

Breaks, chips, structural cracks, rough polishing, sharp edges, loose or missing components, and shipping damage are not explained away as natural variation. If your piece arrives with one of these issues, contact us as soon as possible with your order number and clear photos. We will review it under our Shipping & Returns policy.

Why your piece may look different from the photos

No two stones are exactly alike, and screens show color differently. Our photos show representative pieces. Yours will share their character, not every detail.

A note on materials and treatments

Natural describes the origin of a stone. It does not, by itself, mean untreated, undyed, or unenhanced. If you have a question about a particular piece, contact us so we can check its recorded material details. Decorative components may include materials such as glass or cloisonné enamel; these are described separately from the stones.

Care for your piece

Handle your jewelry gently. Avoid overstretching elastic, and keep it away from harsh chemicals and prolonged contact with water. Clean with a soft, dry cloth and store separately. For further guidance, see Care & Size.
